Well, that didn’t take long did it? I kept looking at my stoop and thinking “dang it if it doesn’t seem a little lackluster?”
But, I figured keep your own advice Bridget. And then Chris and I were out with a friend who said he got pumpkins from a local farm that were super affordable. I’m talking $.75 per gourd in some cases! My biggest pumpkin I got was less than $3.50!
Maybe I went a little overboard? Maybe not! This whole new set up cost me less than $50 and I couldn’t be more pleased! Some things I’ll be able to reuse, like the candle, skeleton, cat and the lights (even for Christmas)!
And the pumpkins? Well, we are going to have a little carving party on Saturday so I’m calling those inventory! Our house guest is a very talented designer and she has never carved before so I thought it would be fun if she had some options for sizes. Maybe she wants a tiny one to do something kind of intricate? Maybe a big one to do something dramatic!
I for one will more than likely make a ghost. Let me know in the comments what you’ll be carving this year! I’m always impressed what people think up!
